November Newsletter
Fall is my favorite time of year. I think it was first instilled in me because my birthday is in November. When I was young I loved fall festivals, Halloween, and Thanksgiving dinner. As I got older I began to look forward to football season, cool weather, fireplaces, and later in life, lower electric bills.
I wanted to let you know that this Fall, in addition those fun activities, I have a couple of shows coming up. The first is Friday November 5th from 5-10pm at Farm Burger in Decatur. It is for the kickoff art walk of the Decatur Wine Festival. This exhibit will show the first round of the Farm to Canvas series that I started this Summer.
I updated my web site this Summer, and I appreciate everyone's support. Those that shared the site or made comments should expect a print in the mail soon, and Natalie Corey will be receiving an original painting. The response to the site the last few months has been great. Thank you all.
In December, Kate and I will be in the Telephone Factory Art Show. This is a very fun show and is Saturday and Sunday, 12/4-5. It is a great chance to get Christmas gifts as there are over 20 painters, jewelers, and other artists. This will be my third year in the TFAS. The show among the best I've been a part of because it is a whole weekend of art, artists, and our friends.
In the Telephone Factory Show, Kate will be serving up some very tasty snacks. Her cooking was a big hit the past two years. I will be showing a large collection of my paintings and prints, including a few pieces from my budding Stadium series. This series started this January when I painted the Rose Bowl. I followed it with a painting I did during MLB Spring Training of the Chicago Cubs' Hohokam Park.
Weekend before last, I painted Neyland Stadium. I also did a nocturnal painting of the Tennessee River. Nocturnal paintings are difficult to reproduce, so only the original of the river painting is available.
I plan on continuing the Stadium series by painting beloved Bryant Denny Stadium on November 26th. And I really would like to paint the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ in January. Keep your fingers crossed.
Thanks again for subscribing to my newsletter. I hope to see you at one of the shows!

Autum Forest
Wow! Look at all that orange. It might be one of my favorites now. Looks like that was painstaking work...I really sense the three dimensions thanks to the great work on the trees and shadows

Thanks Joe! I figured you'd like an orange painting.
